WebMy question is about resizing .308 or .243 brass for use as a 7mm-08 cartridge. I have read about doing this and it seems that it's as easy as taking your .308 brass and using it in a 7mm-08 full length resizing die, checking of course to ensure that it within the proper size length and trimming if needed. Web17 jun. 2015 · But why would you "need" to make up brass for a 22-250. It is much easier to find than .250 Savage brass and doesn't require necking up or down...just load and go. With the right amount of effort you could make 22-250 brass from nearly anything with a .473" rimless head size. .243, .260, 7-08, .308, 30-06,.270 and on and on and on. Buy 7-08 or .243 brass and neck up/down, whatever. Rem .260 brass is more than adequate, and Win 7-08 and .243 make excellent .260 brass.

If you're in northcentral PA. this weekend, the Pennsdale gun show has several guys selling brass at a fair price, and they always have Roberts brass, and many times the Winchester +P. I made it for my first .257 from 7x57 brass, and its still going strong, but it's much easier to just buy it, as MZ5 said. If you use 243 or 260 you’ll likely get a donut, not a problem if you can seat far enough out to keep the bearing surface ahead of it.
