WebAug 31, 2016 · I hope it's ok to describe a bit our case with our nursery, where our 3yo attends full time. We got our first invoice after applying the Free 570 hours/year, and we are very surprised at the small difference it makes in the fee. Before the free allowance, we paid around £1000. With the free allowance, we get a discount of £35. WebYes, the driver might end up increasing their fees (for all customers) as a result, but you wouldn't expect to pay them for the day they didn't turn up. Yes, the extra bank holiday represents a potential loss of income for the nursery, but the way to address that surely isn't to just charge parents for the day regardless. Anyway, long post over.

Your 15 hours is only funded for term time, most nurseries will charge you for the 15 hours during holidays - not just the extra so you are getting off quite lightly.
